Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization. We provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. We are a non-profit, self-governed, member-based organization. MSF was founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. Today, we are a worldwide movement of more than 63,000 people.
MSF coordinates operations through collaborations between global offices. The ‘MSF Operational Centre Amsterdam’ (OCA) is a partnership that is composed of the partners MSF-Canada, MSF-Germany, MSF-SARA, MSF-Sweden, MSF-Holland and MSF-United Kingdom.
MSF is a civil society initiative that brings together individuals committed to the assistance of other human beings in crisis. As such, MSF is by choice (Chantilly) an association. Each individual working with MSF does it out of conviction and commitment and is ready to uphold the values and principles of MSF.
At Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), we are committed to an inclusive culture that encourages and supports the diverse voices of our employees. We encourage applications from individuals of all genders, ages, sexual orientations, nationalities, races, religions, beliefs, disability status, and all other diversity characteristics.
Overview
Rewards, Compensation and Benefits, Living Wage, Fair Pay, Socially Responsible Employer or Global Workforce are just some keywords stirring the waves and creating a lot of attention within the MSF movement. Closely connected with these concepts and frequently mentioned in current debates is BENCHMARKING.
A specially dedicated unit – the Intersectional Benchmarking Unit – is responsible to conduct salary surveys and labour market analyses on request from operations all over the world. These benchmark studies are conducted by people like you: professionals with a background in HR or Finance, Research or similar, who have qualified to become REMUNERATION ANALYSTS.

HR background: Compensation and benefits are closely linked to successful HR management. Knowing the needs of your clients in HR will be a definite advantage. But a lack of HR experience should not prevent you to apply. Let’s see what else you bring!
MSF experience: navigating the complex MSF universe will be easier if you are already familiar with its peculiarities. But everybody was new one day. Some started their MSF career as REMUNERATION ANALYSTS and now hold top management positions. No kidding! These skills are searched after!
Languages and cultural background: In many benchmarks you can get by with English. But knowledge of a local language or even the context in which a study is conducted is a clear plus.
We would like to hear from you regardless of where you are from! The Benchmarking Unit supports MSF around the world. For that we need experts from around the world, too.
